According to Maiuri, this was a rather humble dwelling with shop attached at V.32.
There is a long, narrow entrance corridor, with rooms opening on the north side only.
Mostly these are lacking decoration or have poor decoration, but at the end there is a cubiculum which has better wall decoration.
On the south side of the entrance corridor is access to a garden, which originally may have belonged to the more distinguished houses in the west – the Casa del Gran Portale and the Casa Sannitica. This garden occupies the entire corner plot between the Cardo and the Decumanus.
